Description

This bundle contains four resources that will help students learn about the states of matter, the properties, the changes, mixtures, and solutions. The unit covers the following topics: matter, mass, volume, states of matter, solid, liquid, gas, plasma, atom, electron, neutron, proton, phase changes (deposition, freezing, melting, vaporization, condensation, sublimation). physical properties, observable properties (color, size, odor, texture, shape, and taste), measurable properties (length, weight, mass, temperature, melting point, boiling point, and volume), testable properties (solubility, buoyancy, density, magnetism, hardness, and conductivity)chemical properties (reactivity, flammability, toxicity, and oxidation),physical and chemical changes, signs of a chemical change (color change, temperature change, a smell is produced, formation of gas, formation of a precipitate),mixtures, solutions, heterogeneous and homogeneous mixtures, solvent, solute, insoluble, soluble, solubility, diluted and concentrated solutions, and ways of separating mixtures (sifting, magnetic separation, evaporation, and filtration).
