Ice Cream Scoop Counting & Math File Folder Activities

I scream! You scream! We all scream for ICE CREAM! Yumm! I think just about every little one thinks ice cream is delicious! And they will surely enjoy these ice cream themed counting & math file folder activities! This theme is also fun for the month of May or Summer Preschool.

File folder activities are fun, easy to take out and store away, promote educational activities, and also help improve fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, critical thinking, and more! You can use these activities in your math center,math tub, morning work, file folder collection, preschool classroom, kindergarten classroom, SPED, homeschool, summer school etc.

There are 5 activities in this resource!

1. Ice Cream Scoops Numeral Match- Students match the numerals on the ice cream scoops to the numerals on the cones.
2. Ice Cream Scoops Numbers Match- Students match the number words on the ice cream scoops to the numerals on the cones.
3. Ice Cream Sprinkles Counting- Students count the sprinkles (ten frame dots) on the ice cream scoops and match them to the correct cones.
4. Ice Cream Sprinkles Tally Marks- Students count the tally marks on the ice cream scoops and match them to the correct cones.
5. Ice Cream Scoops Number Sort- Students choose a number card and place it on the square on the ice cream bowl. Say the name of the number. Then find the 4 scoops that represent that number (numeral, number word, tally marks, and ten frame dots) and place them on top of the gray scoops.
