Use these 1st grade comparing measurement activities! Practice 1.MD.1 non standard comparing measurement lengths and ordering objects by length, with these measuring length math centers! Students will learn to order objects from shortest to longest. These are designed for you to use in your math centers and rotations.

Included are 4 different math centers for 1st grade ordering objects by length:

  1. School Supplies: Students will compare two school supplies and decide which one is shorter or longer.
  2. Ocean Measurements: Students will compare two pictures using shorter or longer than cards.
  3. Order the Objects: Students will order three objects on task cards from shortest to longest.
  4. Comparing with Toby the Tiger: Students will compare the heights of animals as shorter or taller than Toby the Tiger.
