Learning Objectives:

  1. Accurately measure the volume of a liquid in order to prepare for measuring the volume of irregular solids, and the density of water.
  2. Determine the value of one increment on a graduated cylinder or image.
  3. Accurately measure volume of a liquid from the bottom of the meniscus in a graduated cylinder within +/- 0.1 mL of correct value to one doubtful place value using graduated cylinder images.
  4. Demonstrate volume measurement skills on an assessment.
