Description
A great option for both traditional and virtual learning, this deck of ten digital task cards on the BOOM Learning website is all about accurately measuring liquid volume in graduated cylinders. This deck is a great diagnostic tool, formative assessment, or review. The first six cards have students examine different graduated cylinders to determine their measurement intervals (what the tick marks are counting by). One card is about a meniscus and measuring from the bottom of the curve and not the top. Two cards are simply measuring the liquid in a filled graduated cylinder. The final card has students compare the volume of liquid in two different graduated cylinders. All graduated cylinders with liquid inside show a meniscus and not a straight line.
