Winter Measuring Math Mats is a great follow up for the Fall Measuring Math Mats. Make sure to visit my store for other math mats and math activities. This is an easy way to introduce basic measurements skills for the early learner.

You will need a class set of unifix or snap cubes and a set of counting bears.

For the 4 Math Mat activities pages the students will use the snap

cubes to measure the 4 items in each picture. They will record how many cubes it took to measure the item on the recording sheet and color in the matching number of squares. For durability I like to slip them into sheet protectors or laminate the Math Mats. I usually just copy 4 to make up a 4 person Math Center.
