Students will practice measuring the height of an owl using cubes. The cubes are color coded to allow students to practice grouping and counting by 5s and/or 10s. Recording sheet provided for students to record the height of each owl. An extension is provided for students who finish early or are ready for a challenge. Problems include identifying which is longer or shorter, finding the difference, or finding the total of two.
