This was just the resource I was looking for to use in Distance Learning. The students could "see" the thermometers easier than what I had been using. Thank you.

Really liked the cards but wish they were a little larger. Some of the print was a little hard to read.

My students have always benefited from the extra practice that task cards provide. BUT, with the invention of BOOM cards I don't have to print, laminate, cut, or store all those sets of cards! And better yet, my kiddos beg to 'play' them! Now is the best time to try them out - sign up here for a FREE set of BOOM cards every month! http://theteacherdownthehall.com/subscribe.php

Thanks for your purchase of my Task Cards! I would like to introduce you to Boom Cards. They are digital task cards that allow your students to practice the same skills as they will with task cards without you needing to print, laminate, cut, or find a place to store! And with a $9 year membership to Boomlearning.com, you will get a grade for each set completed by your class. SO, no more printing, cutting, laminating, storing, or grading! And now may be the best time to try them out as tomorrow begins a sale on all of my decks of Boom Cards - including Bundles which are already highly discounted! Be sure to look through and find the sets you'll be needing for the rest of this school year and think about stocking up for the next one!

Use appropriate tools strategically. Mathematically proficient students consider the available tools when solving a mathematical problem. These tools might include pencil and paper, concrete models, a ruler, a protractor, a calculator, a spreadsheet, a computer algebra system, a statistical package, or dynamic geometry software. Proficient students are sufficiently familiar with tools appropriate for their grade or course to make sound decisions about when each of these tools might be helpful, recognizing both the insight to be gained and their limitations. For example, mathematically proficient high school students analyze graphs of functions and solutions generated using a graphing calculator. They detect possible errors by strategically using estimation and other mathematical knowledge. When making mathematical models, they know that technology can enable them to visualize the results of varying assumptions, explore consequences, and compare predictions with data. Mathematically proficient students at various grade levels are able to identify relevant external mathematical resources, such as digital content located on a website, and use them to pose or solve problems. They are able to use technological tools to explore and deepen their understanding of concepts.
