Description
This lab is used as an introduction to graphing velocity. Each student group (2 students) is given a set of five baloons and a piece of tape. They can use their phone or watch to keep time.
Simply put, the students head into the hallway and start three seperate trials of balloon dropping. They drop the balloons while walking very slow, slow and medium paced speeds. (Very slow helps to keep them from having to measure 30+ meters for their "fast" walk).
The lab is also put together with a graph to push graphing skills further. They will graph their three walking speeds and analyze the graph.

This is great. Thanks!
Thank you very much. I hope you find that you can use that in your class. The students like the chance to get up and moving around also!
