Description
Measurement estimation is often a difficult concept to grasp, especially when students must make decisions based on just thinking about the size of objects and the size of the unit of measurement. This cut and glue activity page is meant for working on that exact skill. Use this page a day or two AFTER working extensively physically using different tools to measure a wide variety of items in the classroom. This activity can be used as an individual activity, with partners, or in a small group "reteach" situation. It could be used formatively or as a quiz.
I created this activity to use with our district's 2nd grade Ready Math Lesson 16 Measurement lessons, but you could use it to supplement any math curriculum your school district is using.
