Description
On the "Red Day," read/sing the items on that list. Then, the next day complete the items on the "Orange Day." Simply loop through these so if an interruption happens one day, one can just pick up where one left off the next day. Or, do more than one color set if the next day(s) will be exceptionally busy. Another way to loop through these memory work items is to memorize all the red and then move on to the orange, etc.
Set up the students with special toys, a quiet coloring activity, play dough, watercolors, or something similar and they are to play/work quietly while the memory work items are read. If you need or want to you can also record the memory work items and play them on days that your throat is too sore to read aloud. Or, play them in the car for on-the-go days!
I hope this helps someone who feels a little overwhelmed with choosing memory work items or for an easy way to do memory work.
