Description
This is a metamorphic rock review activity that can be used as a formative assessment or simply a fun review before a quiz or test.
Included are 15 task cards with questions and 15 station labels (# 1-15). I hang the task cards up around the room (printed & laminated on regular paper) and then cover them with the numbered station labels (printed & laminated on neon colored cardstock). I break students into pairs and start each student at a station. They have 2-3 minutes to read the question at the station and record their answer on their worksheet.
After students have rotated to each station, they return to their desks and we review each question together. I walk around the room to each question and we discuss each answer. This is allows for a quick review for the students but also a quick formative assessment for myself.
