Description

Role: You will develop a project and a 3-5 page paper based on a Michigan history event or person that you will present to the class, and have on display during our end of the year 4th grade showcase day for parents, grandparents, friends and other family.

Audience: Your audience will be our class, and ultimately your friends and family members. They are very interested in your learning about the event or person you chose. They are also looking for you to make connections between your person’s life, or event’s happenings and how it relates to you. They also are hoping to hear about how this project has changed your mind about certain issues, or plans for the future

Situation: You will be presenting this project to your class in a chosen format. You will also be presenting in a shorter version during our open forum 4th grade showcase day near the end of the school year. Parents, grandparents, and other family members will be actively asking questions about your person or event, and you will be required to wear your costume or anything else that you had at your presentation to the class. The class presentation will happen in the same week as the fourth grade showcase day. Therefore, you will have two separate opportunities to show off your great project and your products.
