Description
This is a quick and interesting simulation which gets kids thinking and creating. They are given a choice between 5 different scenarios that they can use to demonstrate their knowledge of microevolution through natural selection. They make the background and then in front of the teacher move the pieces around to show the frequency changing of two alleles after mutation (variation),environmental change and ensuing natural selection. You would need to lecture on natural selection before students do this activity since prior knowledge of the steps to natural selection are needed. 2 student examples are included
