Description

What happens when Brandon's phone goes suddenly missing from his lunch table? Find out in this fun microscope mystery lab reinforcing your students skills!

Students will look at sugar, salt, harissa, turmeric and pepper under the microscope to figure out which person took the cell phone based on the "evidence" slide! Students will have to make descriptions and drawings at 10x or whatever your preference is! I also have instructions for making paper slides to prevent possible microscope cracking with however many newbies you have working with microscopes!

At the end of the resource students will complete a CER (claim, evidence and reasoning) explaining who they think stole the cell phone from the lunch table! They will provide 2 pieces of evidence and their reasoning to support their claim!

We have been learning about microscopes and their parts. This was a great way for students to practice using a microscope in a fun way!
