Description

This printable or digital microscope homework or study guide covers the parts of the microscope, the function of each part, magnification, resolution, the proper use of the microscope, and more. Please see complete list of topics below. This resource can be used as a homework assignment or to provide a great study guide for your unit test. Choose to use the traditional printable version, or the paperless, digital Google Apps version.

The key to success in teaching a unit on the microscope is to provide good instruction followed by a good review exercise. This resource is a 4 page student worksheet consisting of 43 questions. As I teach my unit on the microscope, I assign a portion of these questions for homework each night. This document provides quality homework questions and ends up being a completed and thorough study guide for the unit test.

This worksheet of homework questions was written to go along with my Powerpoint on this same topic: Microscope PowerPoint and Notes Set.

  • The Microscope Introduction: light microscope, electron microscope, simple microscope, compound microscope.
  • The History of the Microscope and Early Cell Studies: Zaccharias Janssen, Robert Hooke, Anton van Leeuwenhoek
