Looking for ways to increase critical thinking, engagement, and enhance student understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to prepare students for college and career? This BUNDLE offers 8 hands-on resources for students to enhance understanding and demonstrate skills.
- The 1st set of resources are 4 scavenger hunts (2 pages each) for navigation and ribbon scavenger hunt to get students to explore, think about, research, and compare the different ribbon tabs and groupings (one each for Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint). Versatile use: introduction, review, or exam preparation. Scavenger Hunt lesson time is each 30 minutes - 1 hour.
- The 2nd set of resources are 4 PBL student led projects consisting of 2 parts (one each for Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint). Part 1 tasks small groups with the responsibility to research 2 - 3 navigation / ribbon tabs and groupings and record findings in a shared notes chart. Part 2 tasks student groups to 'become the teacher' and demonstrate the functionality of assigned Microsoft navigation features while utilizing online meeting software and screen recording software mimicking a real work training session. Includes detailed instructions, shared notes chart, and graphic organizer. Versatile use: introduction, review, or capstone project. Lesson time for each is 2 - 4 hours.
This is a great activity for courses in business, computer applications, CTE, etc. These are fully editable in Microsoft Word. It includes:
