This lesson plan is based on the author's classroom teaching experience and teacher preparation programs, professional development and other influences including colleague advice and criticisms. The lesson is only a model to guide a teacher of middle school subjects. Some items may or may not be necessary due to State, School Districts recommendations or School Principal's preference. However, items such as aim/objective, differentiation, assessment (both student and teacher self-assessment) make good professional sense, increase lesson effectiveness and student performance. Materials for the lesson has been intentionally left out and it is up to the teacher to include or omit this item.
