Description

**Your students must have access to Minecraft: Education Edition to complete this assignment**

Minecraft Education Edition lesson on Surface Area. Students progress through the game by first being reminded about Area and how to calculate it. As the game progresses students slowly move into Surface Area using heavily scaffolded examples at first. As the game progresses the scaffolding decreases. At the end of the game, students will use their final three answers to teleport to a new location where they will compete against other students to build and calculate the Surface Area of a 3D structure that they create.

Audience

6th-7th graders learning about the surface area of rectangular prisms

Special Education students (Material is scaffolded with visual aids)

Included

1 Worksheet

Minecraft World

Game Storyboard
