Description
What is a “mini”? Simply put…it is just a short lesson.
Many times I would have students come to me not ready for what we were going to learn. For instance, we were going to have a unit that used mass, but students had no experience with a triple-beam balance. Or we were going to learn about multi-cellular organisms, but students didn’t know what a cell was! Or you feel like you have done everything except stand on your head, but a student just doesn’t get it – these can even be used for review. And then there's students that want to learn more about that topic...extension to go deeper.
This is just a short lesson (all in one place) that you can use to get your student from point A to point B without a lot of difficulty , close those gaps, get your students where they need to be, or in other cases extension. This is not aligned to the TEKS 6.5C, but because it goes beyond. It can be used in connection with physical and chemical changes.
