Description
Love Model Magic & want to use it more? Why not teach about the masters with it? I was bored of traditional Art History lessons and combined it with some model magic fun! After learning what a masterpiece is and what makes an artwork a masterpiece, students will recreate a masterwork using colorized model magic. The Power point presentation introduces students to the concept of a masterpiece and what makes a masterpiece? Masterwork images are included along with higher order thinking questions. For fun there is a masterworks 'meme' quiz where students can guess what masterpiece the meme is based on. Step-by-step directions are included for students on how to mix Crayola markers with Model magic to create the colors they need for their chosen Art. Large print-outs of masterworks are included along with smaller Artist descriptions and some main facts for each work. I created this lesson for my observation and did outstanding!!! This is everything you need for a successful fun lesson just provide the minimal materials! You will need a backing paper ( tag board/card board/mat board) a color copier or printer, plain white model magic, scissors, glue sticks, stapler, and Crayola markers ( original- washable does not work for this).
