"I used this assignment as a way to introduce TinkerCAD to my engineering students. They loved getting to create their own miniature golf hole, and many of them spent extra time making them really detailed. "

Description

The overall goal is to have students design a miniature golf hole using the steps of the design process. It should have a theme and uses some knowledge of simple machines. This can be as simple or complicated as you need!

This is a great project for long term or short term project using TinkerCAD. Students can use the steps of the design process to understand how engineers work through a problem. There is a 7 min video included on the first slide that covers some basic features of how to use TinkerCAD for this specific project. You can edit the google slides as you need, but each slide is designed to have students think about each stage of the Design Process.

The idea was nice but I assumed it would have more instruction on how to incorporate simple machines into the course. Most of the Google Slides were blank and designated for students to post their own ideas/drawings. $5usd seems a little pricey for such a basic assignment.
