What others say

"So after teaching a lesson about Misplaced Modifiers we used this as a review. What I did was laminate the cards with the word spelling lesson and for every word they got correct, the got a bag of puzzle pieces to put together different puzzles, similar to survivor. My kids LOVED it."

Description

I designed this resource as a review for my students during our misplaced and dangling modifiers unit. As students answer the task cards, they are given letters to plug into a puzzle. When they finish all task cards, the puzzle will give them a well-known quote! If deciphering the quote will be too overwhelming for some of your students, I have included another copy of the task cards that only requires students to record either an A or B for their answers.

Task card Set #1: A mix of dangling and misplaced modifier questions and rewriting sentences correctly (You can choose to leave this part out if needed). Students answer each task card on the task card answer sheet. If students answer all of the questions correctly, the answers will spell a quote. (pages 2-13)

Task card set #2: These task cards are exactly like the first set, but do not require students to record different letters for the answers to create a quote. Answers are only “A” or “B” to make it simpler. An answer sheet is also included with this set of task cards. (pages 14-23)

More room is needed to fix/rewrite the modifers, but this was a great activity anyway.
