Description
This flipchart contains a variety of activities. I was teaching 5th and 6th grade math at the time, and used some of the activities with both grades, a few with just 5th grade, and a few with just 6th grade. I just like having them all in one place. There are some activities that can be warm-ups. A few can be a lesson on their own. A few can be used, accompanied by centers. I think it is important for students amd teachers to hear/see mathematical reasoning in problems, as well as encouraging more than just a right answer. There is almost always more than one way to solve a problem. Focusing on the concept vs. the answers allows for more in depth understanding and critical thinking.
