Description

Practicing multiplication facts in 3rd grade and beyond is more engaging with this fun, multiplication math wheel!

  • Students design their facts wheel and write the facts in ways that incorporate color & visuals to make them more memorable.
  • Students can keep this multiplication wheel in their notebooks as a resource/study tool.
  • You can even print an enlarged wheel to use as a poster:-)

Sections of the Multiplication Facts Math Wheel are numbered 1-10 and students write the facts in each section.

  • Writing the facts by hand is helpful to get the facts into students’ brains.
  • Writing them in different places, with different colors/color-coding, also helps make them more memorable for students.

This easy-prep multiplication facts resource includes:

1) Student wheel

2) Teacher key/wheel (teacher notes/suggestions included)

3) Colored sample of wheel

4) PowerPoint file that has an editable template ~ you can add text to make your own wheels, if you’d like (for classroom use only - not commercial use).

What is a math wheel? A math wheel is a type of graphic organizer where students can:

  • Take notes inside the math wheel
  • Use color, drawing, and doodling to help create memory triggers
  • Complete practice problems in the pattern around the wheel, and
  • Color the background pattern

Students can keep these graphic organizers in their interactive notebooks all year as a resource/study tool.
