Here is a professionally written, well crafted, tried and tested math lesson plan. This lesson plan is based on the First Grade/ 1st Grade "Go Math" textbook, Chapter 1 - lesson 1.2, which is titled "Model Adding To"
Common core standards covered in this lesson are: standard —1.OA.A.1 and also 1.OA.D.7. Additionally, I have included links to a warm up video and links to the reteach and enrich worksheets. You would have to click on the link below to download the reteach and enrich freebies.
If you are using the Go Math textbook then it's assumed that you own the teacher resources since this is usually sold as a package to your school. In the event that you do not have access or a subscription to the ThinkCentral portal, I have added links to my own comparable resources. Just follow the links to my blog and download the sheets and answer keys for free.
The reteach and enrich worksheets I created follow the same style of questioning used in the reteach and enrich resources provided by the Go Math publisher, Harcourt.
As a bonus, I have included two different formats of the same lesson plan, one that is suitable for public schools in the U.S. and another that is more commonly used in private or international schools here and abroad. So just choose the format you prefer and hit print.
The Exit Tickets mentioned in this lesson plan are not included in this purchase. You would have to either create your own, or you may consider purchasing a set of exit tickets at the link provided below. Each file of Exit tickets covers all the lessons in the entire chapter. So in other words if you buy 8 lesson plans, you would only need to buy the exit ticket once or you can visit my store for a lesson plan bundle which would include all eight plans plus the exit tickets.
