Bring weather science to life with this hands-on science station that models thunderstorms, hurricanes, and tornadoes! In this engaging 4th grade NGSS-aligned activity, students explore how convection currents contribute to extreme weather events. Through an interactive experiment and reading passage, they investigate how evaporation, condensation, and precipitation work together to create powerful storms.

This station is part of the Natural Hazards Science Stations set and is designed to support NGSS 4-ESS3-2 and ELA RI.4 standards, reinforcing science content through reading, vocabulary, and comprehension.

  • Identifying the steps of the water cycle (evaporation, condensation, precipitation)
