This activity introduces the student to the modeling of exponential decay functions. In particular, the students will:
a) Take data, sketch, and construct a decay function.
b) Verify the function.
c) Compute coefficient of determination using TI-84.

I used the activity in a college level Finite Math class and in an applied calculus class when we reviewed exponential functions. I added to it for the calculus class so we could also talk about rates of change.
