Description

Creating, designing, and analyzing peers work can be rigorous. With this Math Design Challenge: Rounding Numbers, students are using the engineering design process to create a visualization of rounding. This open ended challenge will show you how much students actually understand rounding. Because it is open ended, you could use this in with whole number, decimal, and fraction rounding. There are no guidelines so students will need to continually evaluate if their visualization could teach others about rounding.

This product includes a student brainstorming sheet with an engineering design flow chart as well as a peer review form. No rubric is included. If you would like the a rubric, please write me in the "Q&A" section of this product.

Student examples can be seen on my Instagram @missdowling.
