Module 4 Lesson 27 Solve Fractions Involving Fraction Division
Share

Description

Here is a resource I created for partner word problem work that could also be used as a digital tool in the classroom. It has a few problems from each fluency activity in Eureka Lesson 27 (dividing whole numbers by fractions and fractions by whole numbers). It includes two word problems from Eureka Lesson 27. This is a google slides presentation with built-in Peardeck activities to increase student engagement.

If you do not teach Eureka, this could still be used to help teach/ practice division of fractions by whole numbers and whole numbers by fractions.

Please feel free to leave any feedback if you find any errors or have any questions about the product! :)

Solve real world problems involving multiplication of fractions and mixed numbers, e.g., by using visual fraction models or equations to represent the problem.
Apply and extend previous understandings of division to divide unit fractions by whole numbers and whole numbers by unit fractions.
Interpret division of a unit fraction by a non-zero whole number, and compute such quotients. For example, create a story context for (1/3) ÷ 4, and use a visual fraction model to show the quotient. Use the relationship between multiplication and division to explain that (1/3) ÷ 4 = 1/12 because (1/12) × 4 = 1/3.
