At the end of the module, the students are expected to:

1. Define what light is

2. Describes what happens to light when it falls on the surface of bodies

3. Explain how shadow is formed.

4. Define lens

5. Distinguish between converging and diverging lens

6. Explain how images are formed by converging lenses and diverging lenses

7. Distinguish between plane and curved mirrors

8. Differentiate a convex mirror from concave mirror

9. Define reflection

10. State and explain the law of reflection

11. Define refraction and illustrate this concept by allowing light to pass from water to air

12. Differentiate Diffraction from Interference

13. Explain what is electromagnetic interference

14.  Give important applications of lenses
