My kiddos have been struggling with money. This was a great chance for them to work not only on their money skills but subtracting skills as well. This activity took a bit of time for most of my kiddos so we broke it into chunks so that they did not feel overwhelmed with all of the problems. They liked the real world problems and could relate to most of them.

My students really enjoyed using this resource to review money/counting back change. These questions were pretty easy for my sixth graders. We talked about how to count up change to the next dollar and then count up to the dollar amount needed. All students were able to completely these questions in one 45 minute class period, with ease. But it was a great end of year review/filler activity. Thank you for creating such a valuable tool!
