In this hands-on literacy and creativity activity, students will bring their imaginations to life by designing their very own Play-Doh monsters! After reading “Where’s My Monster?” by Amanda Noll, students will explore descriptive writing by crafting a unique monster and recording its characteristics in detail. Then, they’ll put their writing skills to the test by swapping descriptions with classmates, who will attempt to recreate the original monster using only the written details. This fun and interactive activity strengthens students’ ability to write with clarity, precision, and creativity while encouraging teamwork and communication.
