Description

Come play a game of Hide and Seek! See if your students can spot the furry monsters. This interactive PowerPoint has been designed to help students learn position words in ways that are fun and engaging. The themed PowerPoint is lengthy and was designed to introduce each position word and provide immediate practice and review. The practice and review slides are very interactive and they incorporate games such as Hide and Seek, I Spy, and Simon Says. The PowerPoint can easily be divided into 5 sections and be used over the course of a week. Each slide has detailed teacher instructions and teacher prompts.

Side Note: 8 slides have movable shape pieces. The movable pieces cannot be seen in the preview, but they are in the PowerPoint and ready to use. If you are teaching in an online setting, you will need to load the PowerPoint into the online classroom without the movable pieces on the slides and then go back and add the movable pieces after the PowerPoint has loaded.

Also, keep in mind that there are a number of slides in this PowerPoint that you could use to review names of basic 2D shapes and colors. I purposely designed a few slides in each section with this in mind.

Positional Words introduced:

• Beside & Next To

• In Front Of & Behind

• Above & Below

• Over & Under

• On & Off

• In & Out

• Left & Right

• Middle & Between

• Near & Far

• Top & Bottom
