Description
The Montessori Geometric Cabinet is used to teach children about the various shapes that they may encounter in their lives. It consists of six drawers with yellow frames and blue insets and a presentation tray. Since buying the cabinet can be very expensive, I designed a printable form of it for my classroom. This printable helps make a smaller material that occupies much lesser space than the original and cheaper too while serving the intended purpose.
The following are included:
- Frames and Insets in printable form- the buyer has to print, cut and mount it on cardboard or foam boards and keep it in 8.5"x11" paper organizers (The original would be 30cm x 45cm with each frame being 14cm x 14cm in size. In this printable, each frame is 9cm x 9cm in size)
- Shape cards- Solid, thick outline and thin outline with size corresponding to the printable frames and insets
- Three-part Cards- for Geometric Shapes, Types of Triangles, Types of Polygons and Types of Quadrilaterals
- Booklets- Prepared (manuscript and cursive), Color the Shapes and Trace the Letters (manuscript and cursive), Color and Name Booklets for Geometric Shapes, Types of Polygons, Types of Triangles and Types of Quadrilaterals.
- Charts (in PNG format)- Types of Triangles, Types of Polygons, Types of Quadrilaterals
- Distance Learning activities- Match the Inset with the Frame, Name the Triangles, Name the Polygons, Name the Quadrilaterals (in Google Slides)
- Label cards for polygons, triangles, quadrilaterals and curvilinear shapes.
