Description
Montessori Math Core Alignment
I have been teaching Montessori Mathematics and Philosophy since 2011 at the Montessori Teacher Education Center San Francisco Bay Area teacher training center. I am also currently a teacher at a public Montessori charter school and teaching in a first to third grade classroom. I have designed these cards based on Common Core requirements. These will act as “command cards” for teachers. When you are thinking about the next lesson for your students or as you are planning your math curriculum, you can use these cards to make sure you are covering all that is required by the Common Cord standards.
On each card you have the “Common Core” concept at the top, and then a list of Montessori materials that can be used to teach that concept. Then you have a description or sample of what math problems you can assign your students to practice that concept.
Simply print the pages on card stock, cut them from the dashed line and laminate. Your material is ready to use!
I plan to have command cards for students in near future under each concept. So, be on the lookout!
Please feel free to share with me your input about this set of materials.
