Description

This set uses clapping to identify, count, and group the number of syllables in words. The student lays out the syllable label cards (clapping pictures), clap out each word of the picture cards, identify the number of syllables in each word, and match the picture cards to the correct syllable label card.

This document contains four syllable label cards (1, 2, 3, and 4 syllables) and 32 picture cards. Each syllable label card has 8 corresponding food/animal picture cards.

This document also contains a clear answer key for the students to check their work with after they have finished, allowing them to complete the work independently. Additionally, there is a step-by-step guide for a suggested lesson that the teacher can follow. This guide outline how to lay out the work, introduce syllables to the student, clap out words with them, and suggestions for modifications.
