"Not only is this resource great to change your classroom up each month, BUT I used this resource so that students had set of number to practice locating teen numbers or putting numbers in sequential order. "

Description

My students need extra practice learning the number names and putting the numbers in order. I made these seasonal number cards for the students to practice the numbers in a pocket chart. There is a different set of cards (numbers 0-30 ) for each month, and the cards have a pattern of different images on the cards.

Some ways I use these cards:

-The students put the cards in order and practice saying the number names.

- I hold up a number card and the students write it on a white board.

-They play a partner game where one student says a number and their partner has to find that number card.

-The students make addition sentences with the numbers.

-They place the numbers on the floor and place that same number of blocks (or seasonal goodies) next to the card.

The options are endless!

Monthly Seasonal Cards include:

September- apples

November- turkeys and pumpkins

October- candy corn

December- Christmas stockings

January- snowflakes and cocoa mugs

February- Valentine's kids

March- clovers

April- weather

May- butterflies

June- starfish and seahorses

August- beach ball and sun

The graphics are wonderful! I use these for our class calendar. My class is very engaged in counting with these, and with figuring out the pattern. They like to guess what the pattern will be on the next number we uncover. My only complaint is that there isn't a 31 for the months that have 31 days.
