Differentiated

Students identify the mood of a picture with or without multiple-choice options. They also choose the passage that has a tone that best matches the mood of the picture. The same photographs are used for each set of task cards to allow for easy differentiation.

Illustrated Vocabulary Sheet

There is a visual list of vocabulary words that can be used to describe mood and author's tone. Each mood listed has at least one task card that goes with it.

Recording Sheets

There are recording sheets and a writing page the go with the task cards.
