Description
The Moon
This exciting PowerPoint and bundle begins with statistics about our satellite, the Moon. It continues with features of the Moon including craters, maria, highlands and rilles. Also discussed is the Moon’s rotation and revolution and why we, on Earth, can only see one side of the moon.
Having trouble teaching phases? The PPT then continues talking about phases of the moon and how to tell a moon phase by looking at a singular moon phase in the sky. Ever wonder why we only see a new moon during the day? The PowerPoint will continue to explain why certain moon phases are only seen at certain times of the day and/or night.
The PowerPoint concludes with a favorite: eclipses. Show students the differences between a solar and lunar eclipse, why they don’t happen all the time, and the phase of the moon needed to produce each.
