Description

Take to your class to the moon! Included are the engaging essentials for teaching students about moon phases. This bundle has it all...moon phase posters, matching moon phase mats, picture flip strips, moon calendar, moon bands, and MORE activities! Your students will be moon experts in no time at all!

Here’s the breakdown of the bundle

POSTERS: there are 8 posters with clear and bold moon moons and phases with two versions (black background and white background) and multiple uses!

FLIP STRIPS: Strips with the written moon phase and a picture. Simply print and put on a ring for students to review and “flip through”.

MOON BANDS: Print and cut for students to wear on their wrist while learning about the moon. 3 versions are included (moon and written moon phases, just the moon phases, and just the written moon phase). Other bands include a reminder for the moon calendar below, gibbous>crescent, and the phrase “wax on…wane off” (for waxing and waning).

MOON CALENDAR: Science you can see! Have your students see for themselves and record the changes in the moon phases in this graphic organizer. Included is a reminder band for students to wear around their wrists so they don’t forget to check out the moon!

MOON CROWN: Meaningful "craftivity" that has students making a headband/crown with the phases of the moon.

MOON PHASE MATS (and matching): Multiple versions of the moon phase mats included for a variety of centers or stations to use as you are learning about the moon (or the entire year). They are perfect to have students match moon phases, do an oreo moon phase lab, write and color the phases and recognizing their relationship to the sun. Black and white versions are included as well as maps with the sun on the left and right.

Show-What-You-Know Missing Moon Phases: Have students show what they know by filling in missing moon phases labels and pictures. 15 different combinations that are just right to practice, quiz, and review with.

FLIP STRIPS and NOTES: Word wall ready cards with pictures and perfect for students to review with. Notes are a graphic organizer with the moon phases and space for students to describe each phase.

With each activity there are ideas on how to use the product and some suggestions for other ways to use it in your classroom!

^^^BE sure to CHECK OUT the PREVIEW ABOVE^^^

While many of the pages have a black background MOST activities have been duplicated with a white background for friendly printing.
