Description
Did you know that there are 12 types of addition and subtraction word problems (story problems) identified in the Common Core Math Standards? Actually there is a little overlap between types, but even so, that is a whole lot of different scenarios to understand and tackle!
This resource will present your students (or teachers) with examples of all the types of story problems presented by the Common Core Math Standards. Print these pages singly, or as a workbook, or as laminated cards. Use them to follow up your instruction in solving story problems or as assessment tools. Use them to introduce this aspect of the Common Core Math Initiative to teachers at training or inservice sessions.
Please note: The math in these pages is up to 20 - that is, the biggest number in the equation will never be more than 20.
This collection follows my first book of story problems (see below - the one with the frog at the chalkboard on the cover) which introduces the 12 different types of story problems gradually.

This is a great resource. It was a little busy for me, but still very good quality.
I have been looking for something like this to help organize story problems.
Love how many word problems are included on each page.
These are so helpful! I did not have to create my own word problems and I love the way they are divided into categories.
Thank you so much for creating such a great resource. Having all of the types of story problems together is a huge help! Thanks for sharing!
Very helpful!
Thank you!
