Description

Build early number sense and comparison skills using a predictable, color-coded routine designed to promote independence and confidence.

This Color-Coded More & Less Math System helps students learn to compare quantities using clear visual supports, structured repetition, and consistent routines. Students practice identifying which group has more and which group has less, strengthening foundational math concepts needed for counting, addition, and subtraction.

Students follow the same predictable routine all week, making this system ideal for special education classrooms, autism support programs, ABA therapy, early intervention, and independent work systems.

How the Structured Routine Works

Students complete the same predictable sequence each day using one color set for the entire week:

File Folder → Worksheet → Task Cards → Finished

Visual schedule cards help students track progress and complete tasks independently.

This structured routine helps:

• Build independence
• Increase student confidence
• Reduce anxiety through predictable routines
• Support structured teaching and ABA-based instruction
• Improve task completion and engagement

Each week uses one color set (Pink, Green, Red, Yellow, or Blue), making it easy to rotate materials while maintaining consistent expectations.

What’s Included (5 Complete Color Sets)

Each color set includes a complete structured comparison work system:

File Folder Activities

• 5 double-sided file folders (More on one side / Less on the other)
• One folder used for the entire week
• Hands-on comparison using visual quantity supports

Worksheets

• 25 double-sided worksheets (50 pages total)
• More on the front / Less on the back
• One worksheet per week matched to the color set

Task Cards

• 5 color-coded task card sets (50 cards total)
• 10 cards per color set (5 More + 5 Less)
• Hands-on comparison practice

Visual Schedule Cards

• Weekly visual schedules for all 5 color sets
• Students track completion of folder, worksheet, and task cards
• Supports independent work and structured routines

Teacher directions are included for easy setup and implementation.

Skills Practiced

Students develop foundational early math and number sense skills, including:

• Identifying more and less
• Comparing quantities
• Counting and evaluating groups
• Quantity recognition
• Visual discrimination and scanning
• Early number sense
• Foundational comparison skills
• Independent work and task completion

These skills are critical prerequisites for addition, subtraction, and place value development.

Perfect For

• Autism and SPED classrooms
• Independent work systems and structured teaching environments
• Task boxes and workstations
• ABA therapy and discrete trial instruction
• Early intervention programs
• PreK, Kindergarten, and intervention groups
• Small group instruction and math centers
• Students working on comparison and quantity concepts
