Description

This English/Spanish virtual lab uses the PHET Moving Man simulation to explore how Position Vs. Time and Velocity Vs. Time Graphs are related. Students will engage in inquiry to draw their own conclusions about the meaning of values, slopes, and curves on each type of graph. They gather conclusions into a graphic organizer that the teacher can solidify with notes the following day. The lab sheet is best completed digitally by students, but it can also be printed and completed by hand.

This lab is easily adjusted to use motion sensors and be done with physical motion if those materials are available.
