This fun activity pack covers the rivers and mountains standard ( SS3G1 a&b). I've included five days worth of lesson ideas that will excite and engage your kiddos while they learn this important standard. Included in this activity pack are the following:

- Paper bag booklet which briefly covers each river ( Colorado, Mississippi, Ohio, Rio Grande, and Hudson), and the major mountain ranges ( Appalachian and Rocky). There is also a practice activity at the end of the booklet which allows your students to practice labeling the major rivers and mountains.

- Map Practice
Students will color in the correct mountain or river. This is a good way for your students to practice their labeling skills.

- Task Cards
I've included 16 task cards which review the different rivers and mountains. You can use these in small groups, as a whole group activity, or even for extra practice.

- Mountain and River Assessment
This is a quick assessment that quickly identifies whether or not your students have mastered the standard. I've included one quiz with a word bank and one without for differentiation purposes.

- Map & Dough
Need a fun activity to wrap up the standard? This activity allows students to make a 3d map. You will need paper plates, flour, salt, and paint. This is sure to be a hit with your kids!
