Move it Math | Making Ten, How Many MORE to Make Ten?
Best used with the Move it Math | Spill Cup Mats *FREEBIE* which can be reused for all of my Move it Math activities. Included in this package.
*Fill each cup with 0-10 counters of your choice (I try to use two of each number so the kids get to practice each fact, twice!)
*Have students place a Spill Cup Mat and cup at their desk or table spot
*Now let them explore each other's spots to complete the worksheet
For this activity, students will record quantities from their cups in a ten frame. Then they will have to count/visualize HOW MANY MORE are required to make ten! A wonderful visual and hands on experience for students who have difficulties with the concept of "how many more".
My class LOVES Move it Math. They are so excited to find the different letter mats that correspond with their worksheets. Students who struggle will develop confidence through all of the repetition, and because they are moving... it is SO MUCH FUN! Give it a try and let me know how you liked it. I'm super passionate about this product line and can't wait to share more, and make adjustments to suit all classrooms and teaching styles.
Worksheet can go from A-J or A-T if you print double-sided (10 or 20 repetitions of the same activity).
