Description
Addition with regrouping color by number worksheets offer the chance to add mindful math to class, while practicing 2-digit, 3-digit, and 4-digit addition.
- Students are more engaged in their addition with regrouping practice with a little color and some independent self-checking!
- In this activity with print and digital versions, students solve 15 or 20 addition with regrouping problems, find the solution number on the coloring page/section, and color.

These adding with regrouping problems require students to:
1) Add 2-digit, 3-digit, and 4-digit numbers
- many problems use numbers with different place values (tens plus hundreds, hundreds plus thousands, etc)
2) Add 3 addends
3) Solve word problems that require addition
This easy-prep addition with regrouping resource includes:
1) Two print versions
Version A
- Problem sheet with 20 questions
- Coloring sheet
Version B
- Problem sheet with 15 questions (different than Version A)
- Coloring sheet: same pattern but different color scheme than Version A
2) One Slides version:
- Same problems and same coloring as print Version A; problems and coloring are all on one slide
- Students type their answers in the answer box
- Students use the ‘Fill color’ bucket to color the shapes
- Questions are not editable (they are in the background) but the shapes and numbers in the pattern ARE movable.
- Link to Slides is after the print items in the PDF download.
3) Answer keys
4) One coloring page with no numbers, so students can color for fun, create their own color by numbers, or for you to create your own color by number activities for your classes.
