How to Play
The game is easy to use and includes built-in instructions and prompts along the way. If you’ve chosen more challenging settings, you may want students to have pencil and paper handy. For more tips, check out the Getting Started guide.
Here’s a brief overview of how the game works:
- Open the game and click Play.
- Divide students into 2–5 teams and let each team choose a character.
- Teams take turns spinning the wheel to reveal a question and point value.
- The team must answer before the timer runs out (timer is optional).
- Reveal the answer and award points if the team's response is correct.
- Keep playing until the game ends. The team with the highest score wins!
Alternate Game Play
Want to add extra excitement and friendly competition? Switch the Game Mode to “Any Team Can Answer” in the settings. Have each team line up so one student represents their team each round. Spin the wheel to reveal the point value, then show the question. The first team representative to answer correctly earns the points—use the team buttons to award their team. It’s a fast-paced, high-energy twist your students will love!
Getting Started
Download and unzip the file, then double-click the Game.html file to launch the game in your browser—that’s it. You can also play online using the website URL and password included in the resource.
Blank Screen?
If you encounter a blank screen while trying to open the offline version, simply switch to the online version of the game to fix the issue. While this is rare, it can happen if a school has network security settings that block offline web files.
Technical Notes
- Avoid refreshing the browser tab during play, as this will reset the game.
- The game is optimized for Chrome and Microsoft Edge, but also works well in Firefox. It can run in Safari if needed, but the wheel doesn’t spin as smoothly.
- If you have any issues or suggestions, feel free to email me at sugarplumclassroom@gmail.com—I’d love to hear from you!
