Description

Our Multi-Digit Whole Numbers lesson plan teaches students how to read and understand multi-digit whole numbers. As a part of the lesson, students learn about place value. During this lesson, students are asked to answer questions about how to read multi-digit numbers and use real-world examples to help them. Students are also asked to answer true or false questions about multi-digit numbers and how different place values are related (i.e., the tens place is ten times the ones place).

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right.
