Multi-Genre Project - Analysis and Creative Writing Project
Are you looking to have your students engage with writing? Do you want them to take ownership and follow their interests?
In this project, students start by picking a topic or question they would like to explore. They pick at least 3 texts (articles, novels, poems...) that help them answer the question, and analyze these texts. Then, the student needs to create their own original 3 texts to respond to their question. Finally, students share their learning with their class.
My students loved being able to decide what they were going to learn, and that they could choose how they could respond.
